We Can’t Afford To Be Fat


It’s true – we simply can’t afford to be fat. Obesity is bankrupting the U.S. That’s one of the many reasons it is so exciting for me to have the honor to support the women of the Biggest Loser program at Charlotte Wedrick’s Health First Fitness in Forks, WA. (Yes, the home of Twilight!) This group of 30 women have lost over 718 pounds is about 4 months. Not only are they incorporating healthy eating and exercise into their life, they are learning about their relationship to their self and their relationship to food. They have learned self hypnosis and other stress reduction tools so that they can be in control of what they eat how much they eat and ultimately their weight. These women are learning that by eating smart and eating plant-strong that their estrogen levels are lower, they experience smaller mood swings and cravings for salt and sweets are diminishing. The Biggest Losers are learning that they truly can be Slender For Life™. In my book, they are all WINNERS!
