		<description>I agree with much of what Jeff says, particular with respect olive oil.  But the dose makes the poison, doesn&#039;t it?   Also, I thought Jeff&#039;s comparison with sugar and olive oil was misleading.  Olive oil has phytonutrients such as polyphenols and squalene that sugar doesn&#039;t.  Olive oil has high antioxidant effects and favorable effects on biomarkers that sugar doesn&#039;t.  http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20209466

It would be better to illustrate the tradeoffs of olive oil as a food choice (high calories, low satiation, no fiber vs. squalene, polyphenols) instead of knocking down a strawman.
