When it seems impossible

You know those times when it seems impossible? What “it” is doesn’t really matter. I’m willing to bet that all humans have those moments of despair when it seems impossible.

I’m experiencing one of those times in life when there is just so much going on that I begin to wonder if it it’s all humanly possible. My healthcare support hypnosis practice is busy and exciting. I’m preparing to teach a new class with colleagues. And, there are some huge major projects going on at home. It’s all good. It’s just that it’s all happening at once and it all has to be handled right now.

In these times of anguish, being my Best Self seems almost laughable. How could anyone be their Best Self when getting so much done in such a short amount of time seems impossible?

I put one foot in front of the other and I have a great day!

Have a great day

In my misery, I went on an early morning bike ride to clear my head. Bike rides for me are times of prayer, meditation, hypnosis and reflection. (And great therapy!) As I rode up Baker Hill, I actually had thoughts of “I can’t” – which caused me to burst out laughing at myself. The reality is, I’ve ridden up that hill about 2,000 times. How have I done that? I don’t know. I just do it.

As I reached the summit of Baker Hill, I was reminded of this quote:

“Good morning. This is God. I will be handling your problems today and I will not need your help. So have a great day!”

I don’t know

How will I get it all done in time? Sometimes you ask for help. Sometimes, “it” doesn’t get done on your time schedule.

How will I get it all done? I don’t know. It just does. And, the reality is, I don’t have to know. It’s like climbing Mount Rainier. It requires putting one foot in front of the other. The view from the summit is spectacular!
