<p><span style="color: #616100;"><strong>Life happens</strong> and I am sorry to say that it has happened with<strong> </strong>Michael Gordon&#8217;s<strong> weight loss hypnosis </strong>journey. Circumstances have changed for Michael and unfortunately he has to stop his <strong>hypnosis for weight loss</strong> sessions with <strong>Slender For Life™</strong> until January. I fully believe that Michael can <strong>lose weight</strong>.<strong> Hypnosis</strong> is the perfect tool. <strong>Weight loss</strong> <strong>self-hypnosis</strong> can be a powerful change agent, but life circumstances will continue to evolve. At <strong>Seattle weight loss</strong> and <strong>Bainbridge Island hypnosis weight loss</strong> and with <strong>on-line hypnosis</strong> I support clients in achieving their <strong>weight loss</strong> goals, even as<strong> </strong>life happens.</span></p>
<p>A few weeks ago, Michael Gordon (a pseudonym for a real person living in the Twin cities) contacted me about wanting to <strong>lose weight</strong> with <strong>Slender For Life™</strong>. After several emails and a phone call, we scheduled a <strong>weight loss </strong>consultation. At the conclusion of the consultation I had a recommended program plan that began with weekly sessions. Michael received my book, <em><strong>Becoming Slender For Life</strong></em>, its <strong>hypnosis CD</strong> set and the DVD from <strong>Dr. John McDougall</strong>, <strong><em>Total Health Solution</em></strong>. He also completed the <em><strong>Inner Diet Assessment</strong></em>. We had his first session which lasted for 90 minutes and it went really well. The day before his second session, I received an email stating that Michael was in bed with the flu and we postponed his second session for a week. Here is an email I received from Michael the following week on the morning of his second session: <br class="spacer_" /></p>
<p><em>Hi Roger,</em></p>
<p><em>I do have a favor to ask. I&#8217;ve been giving a lot of thought to this whole program and I think it would be better use of your time and mine if we waited until January to begin the program in earnest.</em></p>
<p><em>I&#8217;m unable to devote the time to it right now, as my wife has a stress fracture on her right foot and is unable to bear weight for the next two months. She is relegated to crutches and I&#8217;m having to play chauffeur, getting her back and forth to the University every day. She has more than 150 students, so this involves trucking 2 or 3 file size boxes back and forth from school to home. Obviously, she can&#8217;t do this by herself. Meals are also falling on me and, as you know, cooking from scratch takes a lot more time. This also means I&#8217;m not able to exercise as I had planned.</em></p>
<p><em>If she stays off of her foot for six to eight weeks, she should be fine after the first of the year. So my schedule should be back to normal then.</em></p>
<p><em>I&#8217;m disappointed, as I was ready to rumble right now. I hope it doesn&#8217;t inconvenience you, but maybe this will free up some time for another client.</em></p>
<p><em>Life does have its funny twists and turns. And I&#8217;m learning to bend with them, if you know what I mean.</em></p>

<p>My heart goes out to Michael and his wife and I wish her a speedy recovery. I wish them peace and calm during this time of recovery.</p>
<p>There are ways we could modify my recommended program for Michael that might work for him until January, but he has chosen to wait and start over. <p>Here is Michael&#8217;s journal:<em> Week ending OCTOBER 26</em> by<strong> Michael Gordon</strong>, Minneapolis-Saint Paul</p>
<p><em>Roger and I had our first session this week. My overall impression: very relaxing and easy!</em></p>
<p><em>I learned a relaxation technique that I’ll use every day for many of life’s situations. It’s a quick way to de-stress, amazingly simple, quick, and something I can do in public, with friends, or on my own.</em></p>
<p><em>I loved the first session. I told Roger it felt like I had gotten out-of-town and taken a little vacation&#8230; without ever leaving the comfort of my easy chair!</em></p>
<p><em>I began the <strong>weight-loss</strong> program this week. The first two days I felt like I was dragging anchor! Little energy and hunger pangs would strike around meal-time. But eating smaller portions of the RIGHT foods satisfied the cravings and surprisingly left me feeling very full.</em></p>
<p><em>I have to say it was DIFFICULT drinking eight glasses of water a day! I found myself running to the bathroom 8 to 10 times a day (2 or 3 would be normal, for me). Maybe this part of getting in your exercise: running to the bathroom!</em></p>
<p><em>After a couple of days of settling in, I felt VERY healthy. Just an all-around great feeling. No change in the weight after three days, but I can tell I’m losing that overly full feeling.</em></p>
<p><em>Still cleaning out the cupboards and right-sizing the processed foods and groceries that will not fit with this new lifestyle. But that will be a process.</em></p>
<p><em>I did make the attempt at exercise every day, but fell short. I was able to get in two abbreviated sessions, which disappointed me. But it was a busier week, and I’ll try to do better next week.</em></p>
<p><em>I set a personal goal of 10 pounds for the first month. I’ve already dropped 7 pounds, so anything I lose this week will move me closer to my goal!</em></p>
<p><strong>Michael Gordon</strong> was to have had his second session on October 26, unfortunately, he had the flu. His second <strong>weight loss hypnosis </strong>session is now scheduled for today, November 2.</p>
<p>Michael mentioned the <a title="Stress Reduction" href="http://www.hypnosishealthinfo.com/blog/stress-reduction" target="_blank"><em><strong>Stress Reduction</strong></em></a> technique, it is a powerful way for you to let go of the stress and focus on solutions. Be sure to check it out and remember to use it.</p>
<p>I encourage clients to drink 64 ounces of water per day unless there is a medical reason to not do so. There are compelling studies that suggest drinking that much water is not necessary and there are studies that suggest we should drink that much water. Over the years at the <strong>Slender For Life™</strong> <strong>hypnotic weight loss</strong> program I have observed that clients who drink about 64 ounces of water each day have an easier time with <strong>weight loss</strong>. Based on that I encourage drinking water and yes, I know, it does mean extra trips to the bathroom! Check with your health care provider on how much water you should be drinking.</p>

Michael is a new<strong> hypnosis for weight loss</strong> client living in the Twin Cities. Each week we will have <strong>weight loss</strong> coaching sessions over the phone and communicate throughout the week via the internet. I am devoting my Monday blog post to Michael and I invite you to follow along as he creates a new relationship with himself and with food. <p>This is the story of a real <strong>Slender For Life™</strong> client living in the Twin Cities who has chosen the pseudonym of Michael Gordon.</p>
<h3>MY JOURNAL TO BECOME <strong>SLENDER FOR LIFE</strong> Week of OCTOBER 19, 2009</h3>
<p>Assessment Weight on October 6, 2009: 310 pounds<br />
 Goal Weight 205 &#8211; 210 pounds<br />
 Session 1 Weight on October 19, 2009: 308 pounds <span style="font-size: x-small;">(Michael reported that his weight went up to 315 pounds in the first week following the assessment and dropped to 310 the second week)</span></p>
<p>&#8220;My goal in working with <strong>Roger Moore</strong>’s <strong>Slender For Life™</strong> is to lose 100 pounds over the next year and 30 to 40 pounds over the next 4 months. I am a professional actor with a stage show beginning in four months, which is my external motivation. But my internal reasons for beginning my <strong>weight loss</strong> program are far more important: to be healthier, live longer, feel better about my body, and be more comfortable in my skin, my clothes, my career and with my friends and family.</p>
<p>I’m scheduled to begin my program in about a week. In preparing for the kickoff, my starter kit arrived this week from <strong>Slender For Life™</strong>. After looking through the kit, I read the first chapter of  <strong><em>Becoming Slender For Life</em></strong>.</p>
<p>Previously, I’ve been an unbeliever in <strong>hypnosis</strong>, mostly due to misconceptions and lack of information. Having read some of the book, now I am excited about beginning my program!</p>
<p>As a part of the Kit, I received <strong>Dr. John McDougall</strong>’s DVD set: <strong><em>Total Health Solution For the 21st Century</em></strong>. As instructed, I watched Chapter 2: <strong><em>The Five Dietary Myths</em></strong>, and learned about his program for a <strong>low-fat</strong>, <strong>starch-based diet</strong>. I found the material presented by <strong>Dr. McDougall</strong> made total sense to me. I was especially struck by the information about <strong>lactose intolerance</strong>. While I have never been tested for this allergy, my sense is this has been what’s causing my chronic sinusitis and inner ear problems. It will be most interesting to see if these symptoms clear up once I begin the program and withdraw from dairy-based products.</p>
<p>Although I’m not scheduled to begin my<strong> weight-loss</strong> opportunity until next week, my mind must have been working overtime this week to let my body know what’s about to happen:</p>
<p>My body released 7 pounds of weight this week before I could even begin! I expect some amazing things to happen when the <strong>Slender For Life™</strong><strong> </strong> program officially gets underway October 19!&#8221; ~ Michael Gordon.</p>
