Combine stop smoking with weight loss
This week’s Ask Roger email comes from Chris in Kearney, Nebraska, who asks, ” Can I combine stop smoking with weight loss?”
I’ve smoked for over 30 years. I’ve tried a number of times to quit and each time the only result I had is that I gained more weight. Last year I quit for almost two months and I gained 25 pounds. I now have about 100 pounds to lose.
I want to quit smoking but I feel that I am doomed. I’m tired of being a slave to cigarettes but I have never been successful when I have quit previously. And, I am terrified that I will gain more weight.
Is it possible with hypnosis to quit smoking and lose weight at the same time? Please let me know if there is hope for me and if you can do it online.
Stop smoking and lose weight
Chris and I have met online for his stop smoking/weight loss consultation and he is scheduled for his first session.
I assured Chris that he can successfully stop smoking and lose weight with my smoking cessation and weight loss protocols.
I shared with Chris that I have tried several different approaches over the past 20 years for combining stop smoking and weight loss.
What I have discovered is that the best approach is to have the first session to be stop smoking.
Next, we focus the following sessions on weight loss with reinforcement for living your life as a non-smoker.
This approach has allowed many people around the world to live their life as a slender former smoker.
