Hypnosis for back pain
Randy on Salt Spring Island, B.C. asked me about hypnosis for back pain.
“Roger, I met someone the other day who referred me to you. She knows you from your visits to Salt Spring Island where I live.
I injured my back last year and I am in constant pain. I am trying to avoid surgery but my M.D. thinks it’s inevitable.
I go to the chiropractor twice each week, it helps but the pain never goes away.
Do you do hypnosis for back pain? My medical doctor first suggested it to me.
Hypnosis for chronic pain is effective
Let me begin Randy by saying that my wife and I love your island. It is one of our favorite vacation spots.
Yes, for more than 21 years I have been doing hypnosis for back pain with people in my Seattle office in the Medical Dental Building, in my office on Bainbridge Island and online worldwide.
Over the years people have reported significant improvement in pain reduction and many have been able to alleviate pain all together.
According to PubMed, “Hypnosis has been demonstrated to reduce analogue pain, and studies on the mechanisms of laboratory pain reduction have provided useful applications to clinical populations. Studies showing central nervous system activity during hypnotic procedures offer preliminary information concerning possible physiological mechanisms of hypnotic analgesia. Randomized controlled studies with clinical populations indicate that hypnosis has a reliable and significant impact on acute procedural pain and chronic pain conditions. Methodological issues of this body of research are discussed, as are methods to better integrate hypnosis into comprehensive pain treatment.
This is just one example of many scientific studies showing that hypnosis for chronic pain is effective and accepted in medical centers throughout the world.
For some people who have had their body assaulted by injury or disease, the physical pain may not go away. But, with hypnosis, these people discover that they can forget about it and they are able to dial it down.
Randy, let’s talk on the phone so that I can learn more about you, answer your questions and let’s get you scheduled.
My best wishes,
