Hypnotherapy for Irritable Bowell Syndrome
Hypnotherapy for Irritable Bowell Syndrome produces dramatic results in improvement in symptoms for over 80% of people suffering with IBS.
Irritable Bowell Syndrome, or IBS is also known as spastic colon, colitis, or nervous stomach. IBS affects about 10% – 15% of the population which is about 25 to 45 million people. Irritable Bowell Syndrome is a complex set of gastrointestinal symptoms which is characterized by intermittent abdominal cramping, constipation, diarrhea, a combination of both constipation and diarrhea, pain, and bloating. IBS is sometimes referred to as a garbage can diagnosis because diagnostic tests have ruled out all other illnesses and so the symptoms are given the label of IBS.
Some IBS patients report having both constipation and diarrhea in the same day. Two thirds of the patients are women. It is the second most cited reason for missed work days. It accounts for approximately half of all visits to gastroenterologists.
Ask Roger: How effective is hypnosis for IBS?
“Dear Mr. Moore,
I was diagnosed with IBS about 5 years ago. I believe I’ve had it for more than 20 years but no one could diagnose it. Prior to my diagnosis, I was frequently told that there was nothing wrong with me. They kept running tests ruling out everything else. One doctor wanted to send me to a psychiatrist telling me that it was all in my head.
My sister came to you for weight loss and she raves about you and her success and she urged me to get in touch with you.
I’m miserable. Some days I don’t leave the house because I can’t get that far from the bathroom. Telling my friends why I can’t meet them for lunch or go to their home for dinner is embarrassing. I don’t want to live like this anymore. How effective is hypnosis for IBS and Can you help me?
I’ve been teaching hypnosis for Irritable Bowell Syndrome to clients for the past 17 years. The protocol for IBS symptom alleviation that I use is non-invasive. This protocol and is designed to be used in conjunction with your physicians treatment regime. It is a multi-session program which focuses on alleviating symptoms of chronic diarrhea constipation or both, easing gut pain, bloating, gas, spasms, boosting the immune system, releasing stress, anxiety, tension and other troublesome symptoms.
