Manage your stress
I received this email from Mike on Bainbridge Island asking, “how do you (me) manage your stress?”
I’ve known of you for years and I frequently see you around the Island. I know that you have a lot going on in your life but when I see you, you are always calm, relaxed and greet me with a smile. How do you do that? I want that in my life.
Believe me – these past couple of months have seemed like an overload of stressors. There have been many life events in my life in recent weeks. There was a time when I would have been devouring cinnamon rolls to numb out and not feel the stress. Thankfully I don’t do that anymore.
I’m far from perfect – I too experience stress and sometimes I let it run longer than I’d like. But, being human, I accept that this will happen.
There are several tools that I use multiple times throughout each day. I begin each morning by Meditating on and Mentally Rehearsing being my Best Self throughout the day. I use self-hypnosis multiple times to remind myself to be calm, relaxed and be my best self.
During the day I frequently use the Stress Reduction Response and the Wiggle to move out of the stress and be mindfully in my body.
And of course, I eat whole plant-based food, drink lots of water and get lots of exercise. I find that many of life’s problems disappear when I am on my bike or in spin class.
As I keep saying, all of the self-hypnosis and stress-reduction techniques in the world will not slow down the earth’s rotation. It will keep turning and life will keep presenting challenges. I cannot control that. But I do have choice as to how I respond.
Mike, if you like, I am happy to schedule some sessions with you and teach you these stress reduction techniques. If you would like to do that, give me a call at 206-903-1232 or send me an email to Roger@HypnosisHealthInfo.com .
My best wishes,
I did email Mike links to the Stress Reduction Response, the Wiggle and Greatest Expression and I will include the links in the post that accompanies this video.
I am happy to meet with you too in my Bainbridge office, Seattle office or online worldwide.
