Urinary incontinence hypnosis
I received this email from Marie in Indianapolis asking about urinary incontinence hypnosis.
“Roger, I saw online that you specialize in medical hypnosis and I’m wondering about hypnosis for urinary incontinence.
I’m 74 and very active. I still run, ride my bike and love to hike. I eat healthy and I take no medications.
Urinary incontinence has increasingly become a problem. My doctor just says that as a mother of 3 and at my age I should accept this condition and take medications.
I used hypnosis to give birth to my 3 children, I use it in sports and when I’m feeling stressed.
Will urinary incontinence hypnosis work for me and is that something that you can do online?
I look forward to hearing from you.
Your brain controls all your organs including your bladder
Hi Marie and thanks for contacting me. Let me begin by congratulating you for giving such great care to yourself. I love it that you are so active, eat healthy and are not needing any medications.
Since 1997, I have been helping people with urinary incontinence hypnosis. Based on the feedback, the results have been very successful.
Some people were able with hypnosis to no longer have any incontinence and others experienced significant improvement.
Your brain controls all your organs including your bladder. Specifically, hypnosis is used to improve the ability of the prefrontal cortex to control bladder function.
Releasing your bladder is supposed to be a controlled action. As we age a loss of elasticity can change that. With hypnosis you can enhance the connection between your brain and your bladder and be alerted sooner to the need to urinate. Hypnosis can also help you to have greater control in your ability to hold your bladder.
Generally, drugs mask the symptoms of a larger problem. Hypnosis can greatly reduce incontinence symptoms. Hypnosis can be a safe and more effective alternative.
I have also successfully used hypnosis with people who have had surgery that resulted in incontinence.
Marie, I’d like to know more about you and your goals for hypnotherapy so let’s schedule a time to talk on the phone.
Assuming that we agree to work together, we can then schedule your first online session.
My best wishes,
