I do love a good bean burger and I’m always on the hunt for the perfect recipe that is quick and simple. If you can’t imagine life without hamburger these recipes are sure to change your mind. And if that doesn’t do it for you, hypnosis for weight loss surely will!
I’ve experimented with making my own with a few marginal successes and a bunch of failures. These two bean burger recipes taste delicious and are quick and easy. So I’ve quick experimenting. My other go-to option is to grill a portobello mushroom. A bean burger or the portobello on a toasted whole grain bread with some horseradish, stone ground mustard, avocado, lettuce and tomato and I’m in heaven!
Bean Burgers
Ingredients:
- -One Can Eden Foods Organic Kidney Beans, No Salt Added, drained, rinsed and mashed by hand
- 1/2 Cup Cooked Brown Rice (short grain works the best)
- 1/2 Cup Regular Rolled Oats (or ~1/4 cup cornmeal)
- 2 TB Home Made Salsa (or any salsa, ketchup, or BBQ sauce)
- Spice
Directions:
Mash Beans by hand
Add in all other ingredients and mix well
Form into patties
Grill (or broil) on each side till lightly golden brown
Add in about 1 Tbsp of your favorite dried spices____________
