Beer Bread Slender For Life™ hypnosis for weight loss recipeYou may be wondering why Slender For Life™ hypnosis for weight loss is offering a Beer Bread recipe in its recipe library. For years I have talked about the importance of taste, texture and smell and that food should be a party in your mouth. Bread and other baked goods are still among my favorite foods. When I weighed 260 pounds, I went for Cinnamon Rolls that contained as much as 1000 calories. Thanks to weight loss hypnosis, it’s been years since I have done that. Today, I look for whole grains, I look for flavor, texture and for foods that contain no dairy or other animal products. This Happy Herbivore Beer Bread recipe does this quite satisfactorily. Beer Bread

From Happy Herbivore: Mmm… beer! A quick and dirty recipe for a hearty bread! I highly recommend using a dark oatmeal stout.

Prep Time: 5 minutes.
Cook Time: 60 minutes
Total Time: 65 minutes
Servings: 12 (I got 15)

Ingredients

3 cups whole wheat flour
2 tbsp raw sugar
3 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
12 ounces beer

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375 F. Grease a bread pan and set aside. Carefully measure flour and combine in a mixing bowl with remaining dry ingredients. Pour in beer and mix, it will eventually start to form a dough. When dough forms, use your hands to finish combining. Transfer dough to your bread pan, pressing down gently so it spreads out even. Bake for 1 hour.

I used a dark oatmeal stout beer and recipe is quick and easy to make. The bread has a wonderfully mild earthy taste. I loved having a slice toasted with my oatmeal each morning. I’m thinking that I will make this again this fall and I’m intrigued with the idea of using a pumpkin beer – I bet that will be good. I’ve discovered over the past 18 years that I can still have parties in my mouth – but I can do it with 126 calories rather than 1000. Food should be healthy and it should taste great!

If you are on your weight loss journey, I still recommend consuming only 4 or 5 slices of bread throughout a week. If you are your healthy goal weight, you can eat bread every day and maintain your healthy weight.

If you are overweight or obese and want to lose weight, lasting weight loss is available for you too with hypnosis for weight loss.

UPDATE: Oct 3, I made another loaf this afternoon using a Pumpkin Stout. It was good, but not nearly as good as the Oatmeal beer that I used last week. No Pumpkin taste. We both said we would have thought it was really good if we hadn’t had last week’s.
