A study published in Translational Psychiatry concluded that meditating just before exercise can boost mental health symptoms and brain function significantly more than when doing each activity by itself. The participants did a simple 30 minute breath counting meditation and then did 30 minutes of aerobic exercise. The research showed that negative symptoms across the board improved as much as 40% in all participants.
