In a review published in the Journal of the American Dietetic Association, an exercise physiologist at the University of Virginia assessed the effects of carbohydrate quantity and quality of weight control. The author found that the more carbohydrate the participants ate, the loser their body weight. Both whole and refined grains were found to be inversely related to body mass index, although this relationship was more pronounced with whole grains. Reasons provided include the link between high-carbohydrate diets and improved dietary quality, especially higher intakes of dietary fiber. The author concludes that low-fat, high-fiber diets without emphasis on calorie restriction help sidestep adherence problems and may be best for overall health and weight control.

Music to my ears! I love coming across research like this that backs up what we have said at Slender For Life™ since 1990. If you’ve read even one other of my blogs, you know that I am into hypnosis for weight loss and weight maintenance and for making changes in your life. If you are ready to manage your thoughts, your emotions and your behaviors, then consider hypnotherapy. All hypnosis is self-hypnosis. If you want to make changes in your life, lose weight, stop smoking, exercise or changes in other areas of your life, use hypnosis and make your changes.

Of Course Ralph Drabble has the wrong carbs!
