As you know, stress is a silent killer. Back in the day when we lived in caves or traveled in wagon trains stress was a great thing. It helped people out run danger and it gave a temporary boost to the immune system to help fight off infection from the wounds that they received.
Fast forward to 2017 and here you are chased by the dangers of work, money, family, taxes, politics, world events, traffic and whatever else you stress about.
In the old days we out ran the tiger that was chasing us which burnt up the cortisol. Today, you drive in the car, sit at your key board or lounge on the couch with the remote in your hand. The cortisol builds up and become toxic.
