Over the years of Slender For Life™ I have learned that for children and teens to be successful with weight loss, the whole family has to be involved and committed to their success. Parents have to be committed to planning healthy meals and snacks, buying the healthy food and preparing it.  Parents also have to supervise TV time, computer time and time with video games. Mom and/or Dad need to make it a priority to get out and play with the kids.

When I first began using weight loss hypnotherapy for children I didn’t include the family and the results were disastrous. Parents would be wrapped up in their busy lives and did not create the space to be active with their kids. Kids would leave my office excited about weight loss hypnosis only to be driven to McDonald’s for dinner and the TV, computer and video games were the TV. Today, I will only accept children as weight loss clients if the family is involved.
