Sometimes when life gets tough, it’s good to tap into our childhood wonder. On Sunday I was precariously perched on a ladder on soft ground at the top of an apple tree and then again later in a dogwood tree. It was time for their annual pruning. I could feel the one side of the ladder sinking deeper into the ground as the ladder leaned more. I tried to keep all my weight on the other side while holding onto the tree as I did my cutting. I noticed that my thoughts were drifting off to all the other things that I’d rather be doing. And then it happened. The neighbor kids came out to play on their trampoline. The girls screamed as only young girls can do …. and the boys laughed. The hummingbirds appeared to check out my red hoodie. It was as if I was magically transported to another time and another place. And, before I knew it, the trees were trimmed, the ladder was put away and the grass was raked of all the cuttings.

I then remembered this beautiful video and one of the many reasons why I love mindfulness hypnosis so much. Even if you think you can’t imagine, you can learn hypnosis to transport you to magical places of quiet peaceful rest and unbounded joy. Self-hypnosis is a powerful and effective tool that you can use in all areas of your life. When you are involved in those less than fun activities of life or just need a break from the daily grind, hypnosis help is available for you.

Lily & the Snowman

As we get older, it’s easy to become cynical and a little bit jaded. Life takes its toll and can keep us from taking time to dream and do the things we love. This short film, produced as a commercial for Cineplex movie theaters, is a great reminder for us to savor the things we love and to make a conscious effort to make time for whatever it is that gives us joy.
