OK, What does cycling, hypnosis and cancer have in common? The answer is that both can benefit people living with cancer. For the past several years I have been very passionate about using hypnosis for cancer to modify the course of the disease process itself through the use of imagery as well as teaching clients how to control pain and speed their recovery from surgery, chemo and radiation. Now AAB Cycling is riding bikes to raise money for people living with cancer who cannot afford to pay their rent and utility bills due to their medical expenses.
New Cycle Team to Raise Money for
Arms Around BainbridgeBy RICHARD D. OXLEY
Bainbridge Island Review Staff Writer
NOVEMBER 11, 2012 • 10:51 AMThe Bainbridge community is known for its support of islanders in need. One group of peddlers has found a way to lend a helping hand, one mile at a time.
“Our goal is to raise $50,000 for Arms Around Bainbridge in 2013,” said Roger Moore.
Along with a handful of other cyclists, Moore has started the Arms Around Bainbridge Cycle Team, or AAB Cycling. They plan to raise money through pledges of support for every mile they ride.
From 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14 at the Madison Avenue Fire Station, the AAB Cycle Team will hold an informational event for islanders to join the team, or to pledge money.
Arms Around Bainbridge is an island charity that supports community members in need of medical assistance — especially when it comes to hefty finances associated with medical care.

AAB Cycling is inviting cyclists of all skill levels to join in their outdoor and indoor events. Anyone over the age of 18 can participate through spin classes, solo rides, group rides, and organized events put on by local bike clubs. Participants can even count the miles on their home exercise bikes. In addition, AAB Cycling will be offering indoor training with spin classes as well as organized outdoor training rides. All money raised will go to Arms Around Bainbridge. You can help out by making a commitment to ride your bike, attend spin classes or pedal your home exercise bike and donate and/or raise money for people in need.
