Reverse the signs of aging
I was happy to learn that dancing can reverse the signs of aging in the brain. While I have written about the importance of exercise for your brain on several occasions, the added benefits of dancing is new to me.
A new study, published in the journal Frontiers in Human Neuroscience, shows that older people who routinely partake in physical exercise can reverse the signs of aging in the brain, and dancing has the most profound effect.
If you are like me, you may not be a dancer. My thought on that is, Soooooo?! Dance anyway! You don’t have to be a Dance with the Stars performer to go dancing, have fun and improve your health.
Hypnosis can help you to overcome any limiting self-talk and beliefs that have kept you off the dance floor in the past. Over the years I’ve helped amateur and professional dancers to improve their craft. And for those of you who hate to exercise, hypnosis for exercise motivation and get you up off the couch.

“Physical exercise has an anti-aging effect on the hippocampus region of the brain — an area that controls memory, learning and balance. A new study, comparing different forms of exercise — dancing and endurance training — undertaken by elderly volunteers for eighteen months, shows that both can have an anti-aging effect on the brain, but only dancing corresponded to a noticeable difference in behavior. This difference is attributed to the extra challenge of learning dancing routines. ”
