Exercise leads to immediate changes in brain function
Dr. Pam Peeke reports that exercise leads to immediate changes in brain function. I frequently ask people if they have ever felt worse after exercise than they did prior to exercise. The answer is always, “NO!”
Of course you feel better mentally and emotionally when you exercise. Just 20 minutes of walking ignites brain cell growth. This post by Dr. Peeke is excellent and I urge you to read it.
If you’ve hung around with me much at all, you know that I believe that we are always in trance. When you tell yourself that you hate to exercise, that you are too tired to exercise or that you don’t have time to exercise, your unconscious mind says, “OK, I can do that.”
I will also tell you that hypnosis is all about taking control of the trance that you are in. In other words, when you have those those thoughts of not exercising, you can be purposeful and change your thoughts – the messages that you give to your unconscious mind. Imagine if you gave yourself suggestions such as, “I feel so much better when I exercise,” “Exercise lifts me body, mind and soul” and “I love how I feel when I exercise.”
If you want to improve your whole well-being, hypnosis can help you to do that. I will teach you how to use self-hypnosis and neuroplasticity to make immediate changes.

“GREAT NEWS! Just one bout of moderate exercise leads to immediate changes in brain function such as memory and information processing. A new research study by the department of kinesiology at the University of Maryland suggests that, as with muscle training, our “brain muscles” can become activated by physical activity, and with repeated exercise, can undergo cellular remodeling and significant improvement in brain function such as memory.
Scientists have discovered that our brains are not fixed and rigid as we age, but instead are fully capable of continued growth and change. Wonderful to hear! One of the most potent ways to improve and optimize brain function is regular physical activity. We already know that it increases the volume of the hippocampus, a key part of the brain’s memory networks. We also know that exercise increases the production of neurochemicals and the numbers of newborn neurons in mature brains leading to improvement in thinking abilities.”
