Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) affects as many as half a million people in the United States and another 10% to 20% may experience mild SAD. SAD is more common in women than in men. The US National Library of Medicine notes that “some people experience a serious mood change (a type of depression) when the seasons change. They may sleep too much, have little energy, and crave sweets and starchy foods. They may also feel depressed. Though symptoms can be severe, they usually clear up.

So, what do I do to minimize and overcome the affects of Seasonal Affective Disorder? First and foremost, I use self-hypnosis. In addition, I eat healthy and I exercise, especially cardio.
