I’ve been talking a lot this summer about the joys of being active. Since I lost over 100 pounds I have had so many wonderful and exciting opportunities that I never had when I was fat and sick. I’ve climbed Mt. Rainier, I’ve ridden my bike 204 miles in one day, I’ve ran 5 marathons, I’ve been swimming in a mountain lake when a bear came in for a swim too, I can play with my grandchildren and keep up with them. You may not want to climb rainier, run marathons or be a distance cyclist, or swim with a bear, but if you are obese, you don’t have the choice. At your ideal weight, you have choices you don’t have now.
