I am constantly asked about how much water should one drink. The research is confusing – you will see studies showing you need lots of water and studies that say you need very little. I tell clients that 64 ounces of water a day makes sense to me – more if you are drinking caffeine. Another measure that you can use is 1/2 ounce of water per pound of body weight.

Water is important with weight loss, not only do you feel full, but when you burn fat, toxins are left in your body and water efficiently flushes out these toxins. Water also reduces constipation.

If I had a dollar for every time I have heard “I don’t like water …” I’d be on beach right now instead of writing this blog!
