Exercise: Do it right with hypnosis for exercise

People often ask me about exercise and how to do it right. Let me begin by saying that I am not a personal trainer and that the “how” of exercise is outside of my scope of practice. I am happy however to share my personal experience from the past 20 years of daily exercise and teaching exercise hypnosis for exercise to many individuals and sports teams. I know that hypnosis can help motivate you to get off the couch and be more active.

When I weighed 260 pounds, I hated to sweat and exercise was totally uncomfortable for me. But, thanks to hypnosis I lost over 115 pounds and I became interested and then excited to exercise. Using hypnosis for exercise, I went from walking and running on a treadmill to running outside. I loved how I felt. soon, I was regulatory running 24 miles or more each week and I completed 5 marathons. Then, I traded in my running shoes for a bike. Today. I average 80 – 100+ miles each week and get excited about 100 mile bike ride.

Exercise hypnosis can help you too to get off the couch and move more. And, that’s what really is most important. You don’t have to run a marathon and you don’t have to ride your bike 100 miles, but you can increase your level of activity. My 94 year-old mother works every day at being active. She does leg lifts while sitting in her chair and she walks laps through her home holding onto her walker. Hypnosis for exercise can help you too!

Rosane Oliveira at U.C. Davis Integrative Medicine has recently had some excellent articles on exercise. I encourage you to take the time to read them.

Hypnosis for exercise

Hypnosis for exercise really can help you to get up and be more active. I also teach sports hypnosis to individuals and sports teams to help you improve your performance.

You can learn to use self-hypnosis during your exercise, eyes wide open, while you are running, riding your bike, going for a walk, in your aerobics class or while you are pumping iron.

If you are ready to be more active or want to improve your performance with hypnosis, give me a call or send me an email. As always, if you are new to exercise, ask your doctor if getting off of the couch is right for you.
