If you think you have never experienced hypnosis, I have news for you. Everyone experiences hypnosis! When you hear the first note of a song that you haven’t heard in a long time and you begin to sing it, that is hypnosis trance. In fact, we are always in trance and hypnosis is learning to take control of the trance that you are in. Hypnosis is mind control!
Recently, we had our four year-old and one year-old granddaughters over night. For sometime I have mentioned that when the four year-old came to visit we should take her to Chuck E Cheese’s. So as the snow began to fall we bundled the girls up and off we went for a big night of partying. What great fun to watch the delight of a four year-old and the wonderment of a one year-old as they rode the rides, and the four year-old climbed and slid down the slide over and over and over again.
On the way home we looked for Christmas lights and Alvin and the Chipmunks came on the radio. Immediately we broke into singing the song.. I especially love “All I want is a hula hoop“. Yes, this is hypnosis trance.
Remember when you have had a song stuck in your head … “It’s a small world after all …” and you just couldn’t get rid of it. Its the same thing that happens when you are stressed and go for the corn chips. All you can think about it the corn chips.
Using self-hypnosis you have choice. You can get our of that stress trance, put the chips away and focus on the delight and the joys of life … like hula hoops! Even in this busy holiday season.
Today is the shortest day of the year. You can be down over the long darkness or celebrate that the days are getting longer. With hypnotherapy, you really can make a choice.
What joys and delights have you experienced over the holidays? I’d love to hear about them.
Happy
Holidays!
