Is oil healthy
I am often asked, “is oil healthy?” The simple answer is, “NO. Oil is not health food.” Dr. Neal Barnard tells us that “Omega-3 fatty acids are important in the normal functioning of all tissues of the body, but they are best obtained through a plant-based diet, not fish oil supplements.”
Dr. John McDougall writes that, “The safest and healthiest way to get your EFA is in their natural packages of starches, vegetables, and fruits.”
The research on why you should not use fish oil and olive oil is quite extensive. The list of health problems caused by oil is well documented: cancer, heart disease, bleeding, nutritional imbalances, immune system suppression, obesity and high cholesterol to name a few.
I find it disgusting when I am served vegetables, pasta and other food that is dripping in olive oil. And, after eating an oily meal, my stomach feels miserable.
People have tried to tell me that olive oil adds to the flavor of food. Really?! Have you ever tasted a teaspoon of olive oil?
So again, is oil healthy? NO!

You may have even heard that they can improve heart health and cognitive function. But an increasing amount of research contradicts these claims. Join “The Weight Loss Champion” Chuck Carroll, Hana Kahleova, M.D., Ph.D., and Steve Neabore, M.D., as they examine these claims.
