Have you heard about It Gets Better? I wrote yesterday about childhood obesity, social isolation and I mentioned bullying. Perhaps you have been hearing about the It Gets Better campaign to put an end to bullying. I hadn’t realized how impacted I have been by the death of Jamie Rodemeyer. Jamie was only 14 when he committed suicide as a result of social isolation and bullying. Jamie was gay and had recently come out to his family and friends. Each of us are different and each of us has our own stuff. Bullying is simply someone who feels so badly about themselves that they have to pick on someone else in an attempt to feel better. Self-hypnosis is one tool that should be taught to our young children and throughout the school age years to help them feel better about themselves. With hypnosis you can increase your self-esteem and feel good about you. Learn to love yourself so that you can love others.

No matter what your stuff is, overweight, gay, straight, male, female, too tall, too short, bald, redhead, too old, too young, not smart enough ….. you still can love yourself and you can still the love the people, animals and world around you. Self-hypnosis can help you love yourself so that you have the compassion to share with others.
What is the It Gets Better Project?
In September 2010, syndicated columnist and author Dan Savage created a YouTube video with his partner Terry to inspire hope for young people facing harassment. In response to a number of students taking their own lives after being bullied in school, they wanted to create a personal way for supporters everywhere to tell LGBT youth that, yes, it does indeed get better.
