You have to want to accept suggestions about desiring water rather than soda.

Even diet soda is detrimental to weight loss. We know that diet sodas cause you to crave more sugar and tricks your brain into thinking you are still hungry even when your stomach has enough food. The University of Texas Health Science Center of San Antonio showed that 57% of people who drank two or more cans of diet soda per day became overweight in an average of eight years, compared with 47% who drank regular soda. Either way, studies show that people who drink soda, consume more calories overall.
