Life is beautiful and hard

Life is beautiful and hard. That’s when we are fully alive said 30-year-old vocalist Jane Marczweski during her audition on America’s Got Talent.

During the audition, Marczweski who goes by the stage name “Nightbirde”, shared some tough personal news — she had “some cancer” in her lungs, spine and liver. Nightbirde also later revealed that she was given a 2% chance of survival.

She went on to say that it’s “important that everyone knows that I’m so much more than the bad things that happen to me. … You can’t wait until life isn’t hard anymore before you decide to be happy.”

I recently heard an interview with Nightbirde where she said that we should not deny the pain of today nor should we deny the hope of the future. She said that we should have the audacity to keep going, that life doesn’t get easier and that we are to believe in impossible things.

Nightbirde’s name came about when she heard birds singing in the middle of the night as if the sun had come up yet there was no proof that the sun had come up yet. She has hope when there’s no proof that she should.

What if you had the audacity to keep going and believed in impossible things? Imagine your life if you had hope even when there’s no proof that you should.

Becoming the Greatest Expression of You

I am happy to announce that this fall I will be publishing my new book, Becoming the Greatest Expression of You. It excites and humbles me when I learn of people like Jane Marczweski who is an excellent example of living life as her Best Self. In spite of cancer, she is OK and continues on with her dreams.

If you’re like most people, you live your life based on past experiences. Rather than using the past as a source of wisdom to live fully in the present, you allow your past to be a script to live by. Your old story limits your abundant possibilities to live more wholly in the moment and create a better future. In Becoming the Greatest Expression of You you’ll learn how to write a new story for your life, so you can invent your future to be greater than your past. You too can be OK in this moment.
