Marketers have really hoodwinked the American public with their low-carb lies. We know from experts like dietitian Jeff Novick, “Calorie density is the simplest approach to healthful eating and lifelong weight management. This common sense approach to sound nutrition allows for lifelong weight management without hunger; more food for fewer calories, and is easy to understand and follow.”
And, the Physicians Committee For Responsible Medicine tells us that, “People who consume more whole grains live longer, according to a new study from Harvard. Researchers analyzed the diets and mortality of more than 118,000 men and women from both the Nurses’ Health Study and the Health Professionals Follow-Up Study and found that, after an average of 25 years follow-up, more whole-grain intake was associated with lower death rates and that every whole-grain serving was associated with a 5 percent lower risk for death in general and a 9 percent lower risk for death from heart disease”

This One Graph Single Handedly Explains The Obesity Epidemic
(And The Low-Carb Lies)
Published on Mar 5, 2015: You hear it a lot these days, and it comes from the Low-Carb world: “We tried Low-Fat and it didn’t work! We are sicker than ever. It is time to cut out all carbs and embrace a high-fat diet!”
Is this true? Did we really try a Low-Fat diet? What does the data actually show?
Over the last 45 years, our diet has not changed very much. The biggest change is we are eating more, and you’d be surprised to learn that our fat consumption has not fallen one bit. Instead, it has risen, along with our consumption of refined grains!
The answer, as always, is to eat mostly whole plant foods. Follow the USDA MyPlate, or commit to a completely plant-based diet!

In case you have more doubts, The European Journal of Nutrition found that a low-carb, high-fat diet like its namesake LCHF, meat and cheese and Atkins diets may pose a threat to bone health, particularly in men. In this study scientists found that a low-carb, high-fat diet negatively affected three markers for bone health and bone building, including: blood levels of growth hormone, bone volume and a compound that determines new growth of bones.
