Mindfulness meditation for pain control
People who have developed resistance to opioids may have an alternate route to pain relief with mindfulness meditation for pain control. Over the years I have taught mindfulness meditation for pain control to people who were experiencing pain caused my headaches, injury, illness, cancer treatment, dental procedures and surgery.
For some of these clients, mindfulness meditation for pain control was a supplement to medical regime that was prescribed by their physician and for others it was an alternative to medication.
It is estimated that 100 million people in the U.S. live with chronic pain. Mindfulness meditation for pain control can be a miracle for many. If you are living with pain, I urge you to consider mindfulness meditation.
Hypnosis for pain control
“I was afraid I was going to have to have surgery, my knee hurt so much. I mentioned my pain to Roger Moore, and he said to call and schedule an appointment. I did, and after the very first session I had real relief.
He taught me self-hypnosis, and any time one of my body parts hurt, I use my self-hypnosis and the ache goes away. I now walk three miles each day, and I am not afraid to go up and down the steps.” ~ Janet

Mindfulness Meditation Uses Distinct Neural Pathways To Reduce Pain Better Than Placebo
Recent research showed that mindfulness meditation is significantly more effective at reducing pain intensity and pain unpleasantness than placebo analgesia, sham mindfulness meditation and other cognitive-based approaches by using distinct neural mechanisms (J Neurosci 2015;35:15307-15325).
