I’ve been teaching mindfulness hypnosis techniques to school children in my Bainbridge hypnosis and Seattle hypnosis offices since 1997. And, over the past two years I have had the honor of teaching mindfulness to children, adults and families via Skype in several states and foreign countries. Children and adults learn mindfulness based stress reduction (MSRB) for stress, depression, post traumatic stress, academic and sports performance, impulse control, weight loss and general health and wellness. How mindfulness can help school children
British Psychological Society, July 17, 2013: Mindfulness can play a role in helping to combat stress and depression in schoolchildren. Published by the British Journal of Psychiatry, the study revealed this form of mental training – which aims to change the way a person feels, thinks and acts by developing sustained attention – can also lead to improved wellbeing among this group.
It was demonstrated that participants in the project reported fewer symptoms of depression and stress, while also marking higher on wellbeing measures.
Abundant research supports the efficacy of mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) across severe physical and psychological problems. Specialists are discovering how the MBSR program, once learned and practiced, can be adapted across many areas.
The results show significantly fewer reports of depressive symptoms; lower stress reports and a greater sense of well-being. Furthermore, the measure of continued mindfulness practice (post intervention) was associated with a raised sense of well-being and less stress.

Mindfulness is being fully present in the moment. Its having a non-judgemental awareness of your moment-to-moment experiences as they are occurring rather than being lost in thought about the past or planning for the future. Through mindfulness hypnosis you can learn to be less reactive and more intentional in your words and actions. You can become more intimately aware of your emotions and respond to them, rather than being swept away by them when they become very intense.
