Bob Condor wrote today in the Seattle PI that Oprah has hypothyroidism which is an under-active thyroid. Hypothyroidism is the most common thyroid disorder in the U. S. and predominately affects women.
Hypothyroid symptoms can include:
- Fatigue
- Weight Gain
- Feeling Cold
- Constipation
- Dry Skin
- Dry Hair or Hair Loss
- Depression
- Mental Confusion
- Slow Heart Rate
- Muscle Aches & Cramps
- Heavy Menstrual Flow
- High Cholesterol
It is important to note that mild hypothyroidism may not cause any of these symptoms in the early months of the condition.
I have used hypnotherapy with a number of clients regarding hypothyroidism and I have received feedback that there have been positive results. Hypothyroidism is on my “to do” list of research and IÂ want to develop a protocol.
After reading about Oprah I found a great article on Dr. John McDougall’s website about hypothyroidism.
If you create an audio hypnosis session addressing Hypothyroidism, will you make it available for purchase and announce it on this blog?
I have experienced these symptoms for about a year, but attributed it to age!
Yes – I will be happy to record one and announce it here on the blog – it may be a few weeks since I have several other projects in the works.
