At Palm Desert Hypnosis Telehealth is nothing new. Since 1997, I have been meeting with people on the phone and online from all around the world.

The physical office of Palm Desert Hypnosis remains closed and I do not know when (or if) it will open again. There are many variables the come to play in making this decision. The office is small. I’m struggling to imagine you, my client and myself wearing a mask during hypnosis. Many of my clients are senior citizens with compromised immune systems and I don’t think that they should take unnecessary risks when they can safely stay at home and receive medical hypnotherapy. And finally, at a personal level, my wife’s immune system is compromised and I do not wish to take unnecessary risks that might expose her.

One of the results of Covid 19 is that telehealth or telemedicine has become common and I think it will be  for the foreseeable future. And, for many of us Zoom dinners with family and friends have become the new norm.

One Coachella Valley client who lives about 10 minutes from my Palm Desert Hypnosis office recently said that she hoped I’d let her continue meeting online after the office opens. She loves not having to get ready to go somewhere and loves being on her own patio for our sessions. I assured her the online option will continue to be available to her.
