I overheard several different conversations at the gym this morning about kids going off to college. From listening, I’m not sure who has more stress, the student or the parents. Last week I saw an article at WebMD about Five Ways To Reduce College Stress. It contains some excellent tips, but they left out hypnosis. The phone at my Seattle hypnosis and Bainbridge Island hypnosis offices has been ringing almost daily with calls students heading off to college who want to learn hypnosis. Self-hypnosis is an excellent tool to reduce college stress and to improve academic performance. Be sure to get my free hypnosis MP3 download, Orange Blossom. It is sure to relax you.
Five Ways to Reduce College Stress
WebMD, August 12, 2011:
- Stop Studying: Take a break.
- Give Your Mind a Break: Remember to breathe.
- Make a List: Crossing things off a list has its own stress-reducing reward.
- Get Your Zzz’s: The lack of sleep makes it harder to kick stress to the curb.
- Don’t Cram (Food, that is)
To me, the most important and most effective way to reduce stress is self-hypnosis. So that makes six ways to reduce college stress. Hypnosis is a powerful and effective way to reduce stress and to improve academic performance. Students of any age should learn hypnosis (and their parents too!)
