Actually, it should be self-hypnosis and MY wood pile. So here is the deal: My neighbor announced about 10 days ago that they were having 3 trees cut down along the property line. I talked to the logger about 2 trees on our side of the lot line and since it made it easier to get the other 3 down, he gave me a great deal. So last week, 5 trees came down. We can now be in our kitchen during the day without having lights on – it is so great! But, of course, good things come with their own challenges. There is all this wood in our yards! I spent all day Saturday and half the day Sunday splitting wood – I have about 3.5 cords in the pile waiting to be moved and stacked. My neighbor has a whole lot more waiting to be split. So what does all this have to do with hypnosis? My plate was already very full and this was added onto everything else. Hypnotherapy has been a great gift to manage the stress and sore muscles from wrestling rounds of hemlock that are 3 to 4 feet in diameter.
In using my self-hypnosis one of the things that I have realized is that at least for the summer I need to cut back on blogging. I just can’t do it all. You will continue to receive on a daily basis Your Hypnosis Health Info Suggestion for the day, some days that may be all that the post contains.
There is a lot in my wood pile this summer. Its all good, just a lot. Besides needing to move and stack the wood, we are going to Colorado in early July to spend a few days with my 88 year-old mom, I am re-doing the Roger Moore Institute of Hypnotherapy web site and revamping the curriculum. Additionally, I need to replace some rotten boards on the deck and stain the whole deck. I will be updating the Slender For Life™ web site, writing the changes for the second edition of Becoming Slender For Life and going on vacation to Salt Spring Island. That is all in addition to the very full schedule of day to day living and seeing clients. Then of course there are the other life events like my daughter moving and needing help, Luna never getting enough of the beach and the siren’s song of my bike. Put all this together and it feels a lot like my wood pile in my mind!
With hypnosis, I can take care of one piece of wood at a time. One by one, each will get done and I can be calm and relaxed as I do them all. And that is a good thing!
If you are not using self-hypnosis to move the wood piles in your life I think that you are missing out. If you don’t know how to do hypnosis, I invite you to learn hypnosis and make it a regular part of your day. Hypnotherapy can help you manage your day to day stress by helping you handle one thing at a time from the whole pile.
