Do you practice self-hypnosis joyfully? One of the many reasons why I love my job is that I learn so much from you – my clients.

Recently, a client asked if he should bring to mind Joy when using self-hypnosis.

I was taken aback by the question. No one has ever asked me that and I’ve not previously consciously thought about it.

As I sat there pondering the question I could feel the excitement beginning to radiate through my body. I realized that I do connect to my Joy when I begin self-hypnosis. It’s just something that has become natural, but I had not previously acknowledged it.

And the answer to that question is a resounding YES!

Benefits of Joyful self-hypnosis

The benefits of Joyful self-hypnosis seem limitless to me. In the past, I’ve always said to give yourself suggestions and then relax as you take yourself to your “Happy Place” and focus on the outcome of your suggestions.

One of the added results of self-hypnosis is that it is a way of changing states; from fear to love, sad to happy and angry to peaceful.

What I am now suggesting to you is that you go to that place of Joy that you have memorized and feel the Joy in your body, next give yourself your hypnosis suggestions and then allow yourself to go deeply relaxed.

From this place of Joy you have more energy pulling you to the outcome you desire. This is a much stronger and more powerful way to fire and wire new neuropathways.

Here are the Steps

  1. Joy: Allow yourself to remember and actually feel the most Joyful experience in your life. Get in touch with the joyful physical sensations within your body.
  2. Written Suggestions: Write and read 1 – 3 written suggestions, read them over 5 times.
  3. Happy Place: Take yourself to your Happy Place.
  4. Outcome: Focus on the outcome of your written suggestions.
  5. Gratitude: Do all of this with an attitude of gratitude. Give thanks that your prayers are already answered.
  6. Return: When you are ready, return to wakeful awareness and take the next step to achieving your goals.

Whatever the mind conceives

Napoleon Hill said that, “Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, the mind can achieve.” I’ve illustrated this to you several times previously by asking you to imagine or pretend biting into a lemon.

In fact, please right now stop what you are doing and think about what it is like for you to bite into a lemon. Make sure that you notice the smell, texture and taste of this lemon and notice how your body responds.

Maybe you love it or maybe you hate it but when you allow yourself to experience it your body has no choice but to respond as if you really are eating a wedge of lemon.

Your body doesn’t know the difference and responds as if you are truly eating a lemon.

Just think what will happen when you Joyfully use self-hypnosis. Your body has no choice but to move you in the direction of success.
