Segment 1: Alzheimer’s and other Dementias with Dr. Dan
(6.5 hours streaming video course) will focus solely on neurocognitive disorders (dementias) and present person centered care approaches within the UK and US. Areas covered will include types of neurocognitive disorders, brain pathology and risk factors, empathy, environmental factors, appropriate memory aid strategies and activities.
Dr. Dan will review the evidence from the published work in this field by Duff and Nightingale; the assessment process; ethical issues and use of hypnotherapy and psychotherapy in clinical practice.
Segment 2: End of Life and Palliative Care with Dr. Dan & Roger Moore
(2 hours & 18 minutes streaming video course) will concentrate on Hypnosis and Mindfulness for End of Life Care. You will learn skills to build your confidence and comfort in supporting people who are living with life threatening illness.
Segment 3: Independent Study
Segment 3 is reading the Workbook and all of the supporting documents listed above)
(Approximately 6 hours)
Segment 4: Marketing and Q & A with Dr. Dan & Roger
(2 hours Streaming Video Webinar recorded, March 19, 2017). Dr. Dan and Roger will discuss how to market Hypnosis for Memory Care.
Segment 5: One-On-One Skype Session with Dr. Dan
You will schedule this with Dr. Dan after completing the full course.
(1 Hour) You will demonstrate your course knowledge. This is required to receive your Certification in Hypnotherapy for Alzheimer’s And Other Dementias from Dr. Dan.
Segment 6: Optional Written Exam for IMDHA Specialty Certification

To be eligible, you must satisfactorily complete the full course including the one-on-one with Dr. Dan. Roger will email you a form to complete which you return to him with your $50.00 fee payable to IMDHA. He will sign off on it and send it to IMDHA.
