Super-ager hypnosis

OK – so what the heck is Super-ager hypnosis? Over the past 21 years I’ve noticed two things: I’m getting older and it seems that my clients are getting older. I’ve also become fascinated with the aging process and more recently with end-of-life.

Aging can be a scary, lonely depressing process – but it doesn’t have to be that way! Hypnosis can help make our senior years an exciting time of new mental, emotional, physical and spiritual adventures. That is why I love the term Super-ager. Hypnosis helps you to embrace the mental challenges, over come frustration, re-frame the aging process and get up and get out.

I recently talked with someone who had just turned 60 (just a kid, right?!) He talked as if his life as well as skiing and cycling are over. He’s in great health, slender and has great job with retirement benefits. I talked with him about Super-aging and asked what that might look like for him.

The more he thought about it and talked about it he got excited. He’s coming in this week for his first hypnosis session.

I look at it that I can either suffer or thrive through my aging process. I’m going for the thrive and hypnosis for aging will be a big part of it.

  1. Have a purpose, a reason to get up in the morning.
  2. Celebrate and cultivate the social connections.
  3. Do not be defined by your obstacles.
  4. Money isn’t as important as you might think.
  5. Acknowledge that aging can be lonely
  6. Have a routine.
  7. Location is important.
