Thanksgiving weight loss

What is your Thanksgiving weight loss goal? Do you plan to eat with abandon and probably gain weight? Do you want to lose weight? My suggestion to Slender For Life™ weight loss hypnosis clients is that you follow Mary’s Diet today, Tuesday and Wednesday.

On Thanksgiving day, enjoy the special tribal feast foods making sure that you eat mindfully and stop eating when your body tells you that it has had enough. Then on Friday and Saturday, go back to Mary’s Diet. The goal that I suggest is that you make it through Thanksgiving weekend and maintain your current weight.

If you eat mindfully and don’t over eat or go crazy on fat, salt and sugar, you can easily go through this holiday and stay on track for your weight loss goals.

Eat mindfully

Take a moment and appreciate your food. Wiggle your toes, wiggle your butt and take a deep breath in through your nose and let it out through your mouth.

Pick up your fork. Notice if it’s warm or cold. Feel the food as you put your fork into it. Notice your bicep contract as you lift your fork to your mouth. Pause and smell the food and appreciate it.

When you bite into it, be aware of the flavors and textures. Chew slowly. Eat mindfully. Eat consciously. And, stop eating when your body tells you that you have had enough.

If you plan on desert, save room. Don’t eat pie on top of your full stomach. Thanksgiving is not about how much food can you eat in the shortest amount of time.
