Pizza is still one of my all-time favorite foods so the Ultimate Guide to Plant-Based Pizza certainly got my attention! I love a cheese-less veggie pizza – preferably deep dish. The pizzas we make at home are almost casseroles. Mine are filled with zucchini, summer squash, red, green, orange bell peppers, sun-dried tomatoes, fresh tomatoes, spinach, arugula, pepperoncinis, pineapple, pizza sauce, oregano, basil, Italian seasonings, crushed red pepper and what ever other vegetables are available and sound good in the moment – all in a whole-wheat crust. One slice is a meal! We do make two separate pizzas. My wife’s pizza will not have arugula or any of the good hot stuff. She will load hers up with mushrooms and olives along with many of the other vegetables. That’s the beauty of build your own – you get what you want! Ultimate Guide to Plant-Based Pizza is this weeks featured recipes in the Slender For Life™ Recipe Library.
Ultimate Guide to Plant-Based Pizza

Is it possible to “think outside the pizza box” and to make a whole food, plant-based pizza at home that is truly healthy and yet satisfying in taste, texture, and nutritional content?
Yes! Making your own WFPB pizza is easy and fun to make, as well as inexpensive and nutritious.
“Heart Healthy Pizza” is the 1st vegan pizza cookbook- all recipes are no-oil, no-sugar, no-salt. Howard pushed me, the Esselstyn’s praised the effort, and I’m proud to see it done. I still get emails from heart patients so happy they can have pizza again and not go off their “dietary restrictions.”
