There is more than 100 years of research demonstrating that vegans are the healthiest people – so this new study is not news – just more reinforcement.

If you have been following my posts for awhile, you probably know that I don’t like the word vegan – it’s too loaded and miss-understood. I prefer to talk and write about whole plant-based food.

One reason for that is that I see a lot of very unhealthy “vegan” processed food on the market. New fake meats are showing up at Burger King and even KFC is coming out with an alternative “chicken”.

These food are alternatives to the meat and dairy that American’s have been brainwashed to believe we need, they are not the healthiest alternatives.

To live healthier longer, your food food should still look like you dug it out of the ground, picked it off of a plant or bust or out of a tree.


Vegans are the Healthiest and May Outlive Us All

It’s not exactly news that bypassing meat could prolong your life since past research has linked plant-based diets to a decreased risk of cancer, heart disease, and blood pressure. The latest study, published in The Journal of Nutrition, looked at how various diets impact biomarkers, like antioxidants such as carotenoids. They found that vegans have the most antioxidants in their bodies, presumably because they eat more vegetables and fruit.
