American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, June 26, 2013: German researchers reviewed 4963 records and found that middle aged and older adults who drank 2 cups before a meal lost roughly 4 more pounds over the course of 3 to 12 months compared with those who didn’t drink the extra water.
