In chapter 3 of my hypnosis for weight loss book, Becoming Slender For Life, I ask the reader to identify “what’s in your way” of obtaining and maintaining your healthy ideal weight? from my experience, we all have invisible barriers or boundaries that we have created in our own mind that keeps us from achieving our goals. When we breakthrough these barriers we can achieve and often exceed our goals. I certainly had a numerous barriers that kept me from weight loss success. It was when I learned weight loss hypnosis that I lost over 110 pounds and I have kept it off for more than 17 years. So, what’s in your way that’s keeping you from losing weight? Even if you think you know what it is, I encourage you to do this journal exercise.
What’s in your way?
Get into a relaxed state and ask your subconscious mind what barriers you have placed in your own way. How long have they been there? Why did you place them there? What will it take to remove them? If you have difficulty getting answers, you can also try asking yourself these questions just before sleep, along with the suggestion that you will know and remember the answers when you wake.
Now that you have identified you barriers to your weight loss success, are you committed to changing your eating habits – permanently – for the rest of your life?
