Starvation diets do not work. Your hunger drive is an inborn instinct that cannot be controlled. Like all instincts – thirst, sleeping, breathing, sex – it keeps you alive. Hunger really is a good thing! When you’re hungry (not just bored or sad or upset), it means it’s time to eat! Choose foods that give you the best nutrition for your calorie buck: fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains (like brown rice) and beans.
