Whole-grain breads and cereals, pasta, rice, vegetables, and fruits are key parts of varied diet because they provide vitamins, minerals, complex carbohydrates (starch & dietary fiber), and other substances that are important to good health. They’re also low in fat – as long as you eat them without butter or creamy sauces. Few people eat enough of these foods, though, whether or not they’re trying to lose weight.
Someone just told be that she hated vegetables and that she craved protein. Of course I couldn’t let that one go and asked if she was eating lots of oatmeal, quinoa and vegetables like cauliflower (40% protein)? She of course told me it was cheese and beef – and when we talked it through – she was really craving fat. She agreed that the way she was eating was not working for her since each month she put on more weight.
She has decided to become Slender For Life™ and went home with her hypnosis CDs. She will come in this week for her first hypnotherapy session and will soon be learning self-hypnosis. Using hypnosis, she can soon change her desires for fats and develop a healthy craving for whole grains, vegetables and fruits.
