Do you think that to lose weight, you must give up your food favorites forever? Well you don’t!  And, as soon as you proclaim you’re going to give up your favorite food, you’re probably tempted to indulge as soon as the next day! If you tell yourself “I don’t crave chocolate,” your subconscious mind focuses on chocolate and pretty soon you are eating chocolate.

Instead of trapping yourself in that “I have to give up” box, follow a new strategy. Think addition, not subtraction and give yourself wiggle room.

Think about which foods you “get to” add to your day instead of which you “have to” give up. Discover new healthy favorites. Center your meals on whole, fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as whole grains, beans and legumes. Save those old favorite foods for special occasions, like birthdays, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Really make those old favorites special – not daily fare. How do you do this? Use hypnosis.
