Bariatric Counseling: A Foundation for Long Term Weight Loss

This two-hour webinar will be held using our webex software and allows for full participation for all in attendance. You will view presenters via video feed. You may chat with the presenters real-time, ask questions, and connect via keyboard, audio or video – the choice is yours.

This webinar will outline the mental health professionals role in long-term weight loss, and provide a structure for addressing physical health in mental health counseling. This workshop is solution focused and will explore techniques for promoting lasting change and helping clients overcome food addiction, cravings and alter lifelong destructive patterns of eating.

Note to Oklahoma Social Workers: This is considered a live CEU event by the social work board. Oklahoma LMFT must count this as a home study course. Most state boards consider interactive webinars as live CEU hours. Contact your state board when you are unsure of your states requirements for continuing education.

This webinar will provide training in helping clients past the emotional blocks to permanent lifestyle change. You will learn specific strategies for grief, depression, anger and anxiety. You will learn how to assist clients in developing self regulation of emotion, and understand the therapists role in processing unresolved emotional experiences and patterns. This workshop will be practical and useful, you will leave with both CEU hours, and practical strategies you can implement with the clients on your caseload.
